Just days ago, I booked a flight from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I wanted to try new food and discover new cultures in our neighbouring country. My one-way SGD $78 Scoot flight from Changi Airport, Singapore to Kuala Lumpur International Airport is only 45 minutes. It is a perfect weekend getaway for Singaporeans as well as tourists who want to explore neighbouring countries.

Travelling solo means I have to take care of myself. Since it is a budget trip, I will have to pack strategically light because I want to zip around town without being burdened by my luggage.

The majority of what I packed were my travel-sized toiletries, 3 sets of workout clothes for sleep, 1 pair of jeans, t-shirts, flip-flops, and walking shoes as well as my Macbook Pro and iPad Pro.

All of these came in 12 kg of carry-on baggage.

The AirPods Pro review: An in-depth look at Apple’s revolutionary wireless earbuds

If you’re in the market for top-tier wireless earbuds, look no further than the AirPods Pro. With its remarkable upgrades and immersive audio experience, it’s a game-changer. The redesigned ear tips ensure a comfortable and secure fit, while blocking out ambient noise. The sound quality is exceptional, delivering deep bass and crisp highs for a balanced audio profile. Active noise cancellation and transparency mode add to its appeal. Plus, seamless integration with Apple devices and convenient wireless charging make it a must-have for audiophiles and Apple enthusiasts. I must say this is a daily essential as it cancels out background noises really well. It reduces background noises so you can catch quick naps on your daily commute, read at cafes and zone out anywhere as you go.  Discover why the AirPods Pro is the ultimate choice for discerning music lovers at Apple at Jewel Changi Airport.

Kuala Lumpur International Airport [KLIA]

Sim card
Upon landing, I purchased an Unlimited Data + Call Sim Card by Celcom for 50RM at KLIA. Data connection is generally reliable throughout the city but can be patchy at times. Celcom’s SIM card hotspot allows me to work anywhere on my laptop.

From KLIA to KL Sentral, City Centre
The cheapest way to reach KL’s City Centre, KL Sentral is by bus which takes about an hour and costs 15RM. I chose to take the KLIA Express train (30 minutes, 55RM) from KLIA to KL Sentral because I was feeling tired from the flight and wanted to head straight for dinner as it was already 8:30 pm.

I must say the express train ride was smooth and comfortable, and I managed to squeeze in a quick nap during the quiet train ride.

KL Sentral

NU Sentral Shopping Mall is the first mall that you will see once you alight at KL Sentral station via KLIA Express train.

NU Sentral Shopping Mall

You will alight at KL Sentral and there is a huge mall with many local and international brands like Victoria’s Secret, Godiva and lots of food options to choose from too.

Must try Chicken Rendang, 18RM, served with hot fragrant coconut rice and tender chicken.

Order is prepared freshly on the spot. Service was warm and friendly.
